Yesterday morning, my friend Utt called me up saying that he would be coming over to KL to work for a couple of day and hope that would able to meet me up as it has been a while since we last met. As he would be working in ZOUK for some Mosh Pit Audition over at ZOUK KL, so I had to go all the way down to ZOUK to meet him up.

For you who are wondering who is this Utt guy is?

Ok back to the topic, as MTV Asia Awards 2008 is goin to be held in Malaysia for the very 1st time, MTV Asia is recruiting for all the audience at the Mosh Pit a.k.a. Mosh Pitter (people around the stage who scream and party all the time), they are having a Mosh Pit Audition over at ZOUK to look for crazy party people who really can mosh and stay high for 4 hours long through out the event night. And ya, Utt was the host for the Mosh Pit Audition together with DJ Jin from HITZ FM.

Utt was already busy preparing when I arrived at ZOUK around 5pm, but of coz we hang out for a while before he started his work. Old buddy ma! sure muz give face a bit. and ya, he mock me up as one of the crew so that I could enter ZOUK earlier, how cool is that.

Ok, and here goes the audition, the audition is pretty simple, a group of ppl around 30-50 gets into the dance floor, and they dance, they party, they scream as hard as they can to get through the test.

I din manage to capture a good photo to show how crazy the crowd can be and everyone of them were so desperate to become a mosh pitter that they would do anything! i mean anything!!!

and oh ya, Utt is here together wiv his beautiful VJ partner Taya, I get a chance to know her too. She’s absolutely gorgeous. (and i hate the photographer, blurDy blur pic!)

OK once Utt is done with the audition we were ready to party!!!

and like most of the party, we kicked it off with some drinks!

Utt who claimed that he is a star and his appearance is very important has changed into his party suite.

One Buck Short was performing in ZOUK that very night too, they are awesome and even better when they are performing live!

And ya… we get to party together wiv OneBuckShort too.

It is nice meeting Utt again after such a long while, had a great time partying with him. And for all the girls who wanna know Utt. Please please please don beg me to get you his contact as it would be hard for me and i dun wanna lose a good friend like him besides there is other bigger reason i cant let you girls to have his contact. No no!! it is not about the rumour that about Utt is gay, he is as straight as a ruler… i think

ok lah, i lied… i was only working for MTV Asia as one of the crew in the Mosh Pit Audition over at ZOUK, but i did have hell of a good time working there with the crew and hell ya, Utt and Taya are so friendly that they even would hang out wiv us when he’s not working.

观后感：
自从 Ironman 见证了票房成功后，大家似乎都开始对于 2008 summer 陆续到来的漫画改篇电影期待，电影公司也高明地随着 Ironman 的风潮大势宣传 Tony Stark 将会在 The Incredible Hulk 中客串出场，进一步吸引大家进场一赌 Ironman 与绿色巨人到底会擦出什么火花。

由于与 Ironman 相隔不到两个月，The Incrediible Hulk 是免不了被大家比较了。Ironman 之所以会被观众热爱除了顺畅的故事流动、华丽的 CGI 以及电影里头让男人们着迷的科技之外，最为重要的是 Tony Stark 那令人又爱又恨的叛逆性格。Stark 是个衰而不败的富家子,成就不再话下，私生活更是风流奢侈。这与众多忧郁性格的英雄不一样的性格让观众们眼前一亮，而演绎 Tony Stark 的 Robert Downey Jr 是功不可没的。

在另一手，Bruce Banner 是受到超能力诅咒，过着自我放逐的生活，内心感到孤独无依，但同时又充满正义感的复杂角色。不过曾经两度奥斯卡提名的 Edward Norton 可在这次成功的把 Bruce Banner 的心理戏适度又不浮夸地呈现出来，再度证明了实力派的演技。

与爱现科技的 Ironman 不同，Hulk 是靠肉搏战出位的英雄。或许从李安执导的 The Hulk 中学乖了，这次指导的法国导演在整出戏里输入了大量动作场面，大叹在 Ironman 里头动作场面不够多的朋友绝对会在 The Incredible Hulk 里头过足动作片瘾。个人特别喜欢是片初在巴西取摄的追逐戏，那里的外景真的是非常符合电影动作场面所需，非常有 feel。

若认真比较 Ironman 与 Incredible Hulk，Ironman 确实是娱乐性十足，要在票房上胜出绝对不是问题。不过 The Incredible Hulk 也是近期绝对值得一看的猛片。

后记：The Incredible Hulk 续后将要上映的 SuperHero 还有 Batman 与 Hellboy。外加由票房保证的 Will Smith 主演的 Hancock。你们准备好了吗？

记得有朋友说过梦想不过是挂在嘴边炫耀的空气，毕竟大家都无法达到梦想，梦想要几美几夸张都可以。其实大家在定下自己的梦想时是否有尝试过冷静地坐下来，认真考量实现梦想的终生大计？你们是否有尝试认真地看待你们的梦想呢？

人们都说当我遇上现实时就会明白梦想不过是不切实际的目标。其实我想大家都有会错意了，在我追梦的路途上我本就期望着现实大魔王会对我宣战，我本就有着面对残酷的巨大现实风浪的觉悟，我本就打算用我的青春与现实来场最大的打赌！反正现时的我都一无所有，又何怕我会输起什么呢？再者，又没何尝没见识过现实的残酷？我也有被现实无数次地摔得满头血也深深明白一些极限是我自己永远无法突破的，可是就算失败也不失志，每一小个伤口将会是见证我青春的最好证明！

现实不过是在追梦的路上必经的一站，只要你相信，现实与梦想的距离就不再遥远。别因为挫折而放弃拥抱梦想的勇气，梦想的价值就在于它不容易达成，就算失败了、跌倒了、累了我相信回头一望你还是会发现追梦的旅程上所换来的美景是值得让你不断尝试的。

观后感:

每当看得奖与提名无数的巨片时都会有一种无形的压力，毕竟这些巨作都备受多人的肯定；结果形成我一个要不得的弊病，也就是深怕自己不能明白电影的精髓也意味着自己还不到看好戏的水平。:P

当然就这出 《No Country for Old Men》，让我看完后反复想了整夜，尝试明白影评人对此片的心理与溺爱，可是还是失败了。我无法反对此片是部很好的作品，可是自己真的还无法完全了解此戏的真谛。或许英文水平还不够高，好多戏里的对白我都一知半解，尤其是主角 Tommy Lee Jones 更是说了很多让我摸不着头脑的深奥对白。

无论如何，这部戏不难吸引人从开头就不断地看下去。戏里导演的强烈风格不是好莱坞常一贯的犯罪惊粟片可以看见的。导演异常地克制着故事发展还有在细节里隐忍着关连的暗喻手法是很高明的，这不但引发观众心里产生众多的疑惑然后还启发观众自己去领悟其中的故事动向。

道高者或许也会在故事细节里头发现电影的哲理，但绝对还不是我，毕竟我还只是个喜欢看戏且梦想着有朝一日可以大胆起笔评戏的黄毛小子。

As for instant, Dragon Boat Festival (falls on 8th of June this year) is probably one of the festival most non-Chinese would have no idea what is it about. You see, as modern-city lifestyle takes over the traditional lifestyle, I believe most of us in Malaysia never really experience Dragon-Boat Race or may be don’t even realise that there is actually such festival celebrated by Chinese. But don’t get it wrong, it isn’t because we Chinese already stop celebrating the so called Dragon Boat Festival, but just that the Dragon-Boat isn’t the main part of the celebration at all. In fact, if you do visit Pasar this few days, u probably would notice that there’re a lot of Chinese vendors are selling some funny looking dumplings which are wrapped in reed leaves into pyramid shape, which we named it Zong Zhi (粽子) or pronounced as Charng in Hokkien and it is delicately translated to Rice Dumpling in English.

So this is the rice dumpling i meant if you have no idea what I was mentioning about. And ya, it looks like noting the same with the dumpling you have in your WanTan Min.

So here goes, unwrapping it and Taa Daa!! Like what you can see, Rice Dumpling is actually a steamed glutinous rice ball filled with assorted filling which is uncertain as it is a home-cooked delicacy whereby different family might have it differently. But for us Malaysian Chinese, the filling we have are more likely pork, red beans, shitake mushroom, chestnut and salted duck’s egg-york (man! that’s a very long name for a single ingredient). But of course, Chinese always tend to like prosperous and expensive food, so there are actually rice dumpling filled with abalone and shark fins which is insanely expensive and awfully wasteful.

Ok, since it is all about the rice dumpling, why don’t Chinese named the festival as Rice Dumpling Festival instead?  Well for that, I think that’s probably because Chinese who suggested the translated name of this festival might have thought of we already have a Mooncake Festival and is not a good idea to name another festival under the festive food again. (Imagine Christmas is known as Candy Cane Day and Hari Raya is known as Ketupat & Rendang Day).

Back to the dragon boat!

Traditionally, we do have dragon boat race during this festival. Ya, this is one of a kind of a dragon boat most probably would imagine. But for the disappointment, no this is not the dragon boat we have during dragon boat festival.

Instead, this is the Dragon Boat we are having. It isn’t fancy at all and it is a lot more simple as dragon boat is actually build for speed (woo… sounded ganas gila). And ya, dragon boat race is about paddle-ling but not motors or engines. Oh well, it is a traditional game after all. Up until today, the only place in Malaysia that I know that there’s still dragon boat race going on is Penang, and believe it or not, the competition is actually in a bigger scale than you can imagine, as there are international teams namely from China, Thailand and even Australia (now why does the Australian are celebrating as well?)

So after all the introduction, now you know how we celebrate the dragon boat festival! And as a remark of the origin of this festival, is this actually a day to commemorate the great poet QuYuan of Chu Emperor who committed a patriotic suicide into river on the 5th day of 5th month in the Chinese lunar calendar, when the news spread the people of Chu Emperor paddle out the river and rice dumplings are thrown into the river hoping that the fishes in the river wont feast on QuYuan’s dead body but eat the dumpling instead. So that’s how dragon boat and rice dumplings come into the festival.

Many may wonder why am I writing this long and boring entry (hell ya, is it English some more) to introduce this festival which is so not me. This is because this festival meant a lot to me as the Dragon Boat Festival is on one day right before my lunar birthday which is on the 4th day of 5th month in lunar calendar. My mum always claims that I am borned a gluttony boy (eww… this sure sounds wrong in English! but i cant find any decent word else in my poor English to translate 贪吃 or should i say desire in having food), as i coudlnt wait to eat the rice dumpling so much that I decided to pop out the day right before the Dragon Boat Festival!!

So that’s pretty much wrap up for this entry! and ya… I do like rice dumpling! Happy Belated Dragon Boat Festival!
